Using the Explorer Ring 3's teleport ability can help greatly with banking, although admittedly the cabbage patch is close to the mine itself. Players may bank their ore in Falador, Draynor Village, a deposit box in Port Sarim, or a deposit box in Rimmington, which is accessible to members that have completed Rocking Out. On the map, mines and mining sites are identified. Iron, the respawn times and even though I believe half the value of coal, you can mine iron much more quickly. Mined ores can be smelted at a furnace, turning them into bars that can be made into metal objects using primarily the Smithing skill, but also sometimes the Construction skill or the Crafting skill. Though Coal is more gp per ore, Iron is faster and slightly less so overall Iron will bring in more profit. This makes it a good way to get soft clay for furniture, as there is a well in Rimmington. Mining is a gathering skill that allows players to extract ores, gems, rune essence and other resources from rocks in mines throughout RuneScape. Many Members also use the clay rocks in this mine as a quick way to train Construction, by having their player-owned houses just down the road in Rimmington. Many Non-members use the Gold Rocks here, as they are the best way to mine Gold until access to the Crafting Guild is acquired.
The mine contains 2 tin rocks, 5 copper rocks, 6 iron rocks, 3 clay rocks, and 2 gold rocks. Its major advantage is that it has no aggressive monsters. The mine is a huge pit about as large as the town of Rimmington itself.
The Rimmington mine is a mine that is located north-east of Rimmington, west of Port Sarim and south-west of Falador.
